Trainers off, foot spa on,\u00a0 it\u2019s official – the Equal Experts Walkathon 2025 has crossed the finish line! And what a journey it\u2019s been. From sunrise strolls to midnight marathons, 1,700+<\/strong> of you, across 126 teams<\/strong>, racked up a staggering 493 million<\/strong> steps. That\u2019s <\/span>233,589<\/strong> miles<\/strong> (or <\/span>375,925<\/span> km), all to raise money for five brilliant causes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A mile in their shoes<\/strong><\/h2>\n

That step total translates to an amazing \u00a3103,600<\/strong> donated – at \u00a32 for every 10,000 steps – <\/span>to five fantastic charities across our network:<\/span><\/p>\n

    You\u2019re probably giving your feet a break this week, so whilst you reacquaint yourselves with your sofas over a well-deserved cup of tea, here are some numbers to impress friends and family with:<\/span><\/p>\n\"EE\n

    A true Network<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    As always, it\u2019s not just about the money. As a network, we want to bring people together, and what better way than in the spirit of good-natured competition? We watched with bated breath as walkers jostled for position, walking, jogging and sometimes dancing in your kitchens when the weather was unkind.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Walkathon highlights<\/span><\/h3>\n

    • The Walking Madrasi<\/b> kicked things off with a walk round the block – 10 times over!<\/span><\/li>\n
    • India<\/b> teams shared their favourite podcasts to stay motivated.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Steve Morgan<\/b> didn\u2019t let a cruise slow him down – he logged steps across Europe, Africa and the open sea.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Amelia Bampton<\/b> led a Network walk during National Mental Health Awareness week.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Five of the <\/span>Sussex Steppers<\/b> completed a 50k ultramarathon!\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Grit and humour won the day<\/span><\/h3>\n

      When blisters threatened and playlists ran dry, it was sheer grit – and humour – that kept you moving. Huge congratulations to Martin from <\/span>(You Gotta) Stroll With It<\/span> for winning the entire challenge (and a photo of the day or two)!\u00a0 Your total step count was phenomenal, as were all who broke the million steps barrier and were this year\u2019s millionaire walkers.
